Jewelry Care Guide

Every Angels Hoch jewel is shaped and finished with care in Barcelona. Small variations in texture and finish are part of its handmade character. The right daily care will help preserve its colour, surface and presence for longer.

Important: do not use jewelry polishing cloths

Never use conventional jewelry polishing cloths, silver polishing cloths, chemically treated cloths or abrasive cleaning pads on Angels Hoch jewelry. These products can damage, alter or remove the exterior protective finish, plating, colour or patina. Do not polish the piece at home.

Daily care

  • Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, sleeping or exercising.
  • Avoid direct contact with perfume, creams, make-up, hairspray and household chemicals.
  • Put your jewelry on last when getting ready and take it off first when you return home.
  • Handle sculptural, enamelled and coloured surfaces carefully to avoid knocks and scratches.

Keep it dry

Water, humidity, sweat, chlorine and salt can accelerate oxidation and wear, especially on plated, bronze and mixed-material pieces. If a jewel becomes wet, let it dry naturally or blot it very gently with plain, soft, untreated cotton. Do not rub or polish the surface.

Gold-plated and bronze jewelry

Gold plating naturally evolves with use. Friction, skin chemistry, cosmetics and moisture can gradually change the finish. This is normal wear rather than a manufacturing defect. Do not use polishing liquids, metal cleaners, abrasive products or polishing cloths, as they can remove or damage the exterior layer.

Sterling silver

Sterling silver can oxidise naturally when exposed to air and humidity. Because many Angels Hoch pieces combine silver with plated, coloured or protected surfaces, do not use commercial silver cloths or silver-cleaning products unless our atelier has specifically confirmed that they are suitable for that exact piece.

Colour, enamel and mixed materials

Do not soak these pieces or use alcohol, solvents, ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive brushes or cleaning cloths. Avoid rubbing the surface. Contact our atelier if the piece requires deeper cleaning.

Storage

  • Store every piece completely dry, ideally inside its Angels Hoch pouch or box.
  • Keep jewels separated so that hard surfaces, chains and stones do not rub against one another.
  • Avoid bathrooms, windowsills and other humid or sun-exposed areas.

When to contact us
